A pledge.

"What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another." Mahatma Gandhi

World Environment Day is commemorated worldwide each year under the direction of the United Nations to heighten public awareness of the environment, but I don't think we need a day to celebrate world environment day, it should be celebrated every day and every second .Does our environment support us for one day. No...Not at all. It is continuously working for us and will keep doing it without asking anything in return.

Who doesn't want to stay near nature and relax? We take time off from our office work and travel to such places, where we are closer with nature. Nature and Humans are connected with many threads of life and we need to understand the bond. It has been observed that patients in hospital recover faster if they are in a room with windows that offer a pleasant view. Beyond providing pure pleasure, nature's beauty can therefore offer therapy for sick minds and bodies. So it is all the more essential that we do our best to preserve it for future generations.

Every time we cut down a tree, every time an oil spill despoils the ocean, let us remember that we are destroying the most precious inheritance we can leave behind for our children.

Be the change you wish to see in the world .So let's take pledge that we will protect our nature and our environment every day.

Republic Day

Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26 January to commemorate the date and moment when the Constitution of India came into effect. Although India attained independence on August 15, 1947 but till 1949 it didn't have a permanent constitution of its own and instead were functioning under the laws enacted and implemented by the British. And after many amendments the Constitution was approved and accepted on November 26, 1949 that came into force in a full-fledged fashion from on 26 January, 1950. Thus, Republic Day celebration is the moment to remember the coming of the Constitution into effect.

Holi Celebration

The celebration of Holi has different aspects. It is a celebration of the triumph of good over evil, a carnival of colors, a community festival, and a tradition of ancient spring rites, Though the grand finale takes place on the full moon day of Phalguna, the play stretches for about a week orso, especially in North of India. However, in the rest of India, the main functions start in the afternoon before the final day.

The day before the full moon day of the Holi is called as the Small Holi. Children lit up bonfires and sing and dance around it. The main event of Holi is indeed a carnival of colors. On this day, children, friends and neighbors come out on the streets. And the spree to color-anyone-you-see takes over. Colors of all form and variety. They come in shades of red, orange, blue, green, and purple, and the likes. And they are available in oil, water or powder base.

Like every year, this year too we celebrated Holi in at RITS with great enthusiasm. Holi is not just about spreading colors of love and happiness, but it is also about forgiving and forgetting the misunderstandings of the past and start life afresh. Celebrating festival of colors was an amazing experience.

The celebrations in the office began post five in the evening when everybody gathered in cafeteria and started splashing colors on each other .Everyone join in eventually and had a great time.

Jokes

A sales rep, an administration clerk and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out in a puff of smoke. The Genie says, "I usually only grant three wishes,so I'll give each of you one wish each."

"Me first! Me first!" says the admin clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world."
Poof! She's gone.

In astonishment, "Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life."
Poof! He's gone.

"OK, you're up," the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, "I want those two back in the office after lunch."

Big James

One fine day, a bus driver went to the bus garage, started his bus, and drove off along the route. No problems for the first few stops, few people got on, few got off, and things went generally well. At the next stop, however, a big guy boarded the bus. Six feet eight, built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared at the driver and said, "Big James doesn't need to pay!" and sat down at the back.

Did I mention that the driver was five feet three, thin, and basically timid. Well, he was. Naturally, he didn't argue with Big James, but he wasn't happy about it. The next day the same thing happened-Big James got on again, made a show of refusing to pay, and sat down. And the next day, and the one after that and so forth.

This annoyed the bus driver, who started losing sleep .Big James was taking advantage of him. Finally he could stand it no longer. He signed up for body building courses, karate, judo, and started to work out.

By the end of the summer, he had become quite strong; what's more, he felt really good about himself. So on the next Monday, when Big James once again boarded the bus and said, "Big James doesn't pay!,"The driver stood up, glared back at the passenger, and screamed," and why not?" With a surprised look on his face, Big James replied; Big James has a bus pass."

Moral:" Be sure! What is a problem in the
place before working hard to solve one"
