Holi celebration begins with lighting up of bonfire on the Holi eve. Numerous legends & stories associated with Holi celebration makes the festival more exuberant and vivid. People rub 'Gulal' and 'abeer' on each others' faces and cheer up saying, "bura na maano Holi hai". WEAKNESS TURNED INTO STRENGTH

This is a story of a boy who decided to practice judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident. The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn't understand why, after three months of training, the master had taught him only one move. ""Master"," the boy finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning more moves?"

"This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you'll ever need to know," the "Master" replied. Not quite understanding, but believing in his Master, the boy continued. Several months later, the "Master" took the boy to his first tournament. Surprising the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals. This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be overpowered. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the referee called a time-out. Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake, the boy used his move to pin him. The boy had won the match and the tournament. He was the champion.

On the way home, the boy and "Master" reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the boy summoned the courage to ask what was really on his mind. "Master", how did I win the tournament with only one move?"

"You won for two reasons," the "Master" answered. "First, you've almost mastered one of the most difficult move in judo. And second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grab your left arm."

Moral: We should not let our weakness take control of our life. We should belive in ourself and continue to work harder towards our goal and with hard work we can turn our weakness into our strength.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Republic Day (26th January) is one of Four national holidays in India after freedom, the other three being Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Ambedkar Jayanthi. Health and Lifestyle.

We never pay attention to breathing, which is essential and crucial part of our life. It's just something our body does automatically. Proper breathing helps us to live longer as well as make us positive, happy, productive and energetic. Deep breathing should be a part of your everyday life. Proper breathing should be deep, slow, rhythmic and done through the nose, not through the mouth.

Deep breaths should last 3 to 5 seconds breathing in and 3 to 5 seconds breathing out.
Deep breathing is also known as diaphragmatic breathing, abdominal breathing, belly breathing and paced respiration. A good thing about this is that you can do it anywhere at any time and it doesn't cost anything! Even a short session of 10 minutes of deep breathing 2 or 3 times a day will have a huge impact on your physical and mental health.

With a little effort, deep breathing can become an easy and unconscious part of your daily life. Initially, you need to focus on your breath and soon you will start breathing deeper without having to think about it at all.

How to Do Deep Breathing

To perform it:

1. Lie down on your back in a comfortable place free from any kind of distraction.

2. Put your hands on your abdomen (to feel your way through the exercise) and try to relax your muscles.

3. Inhale deeply through your nose, expanding your abdomen and then filling your lungs with air. Count slowly to 5 as you inhale.

4. Hold your breath and count to 3.

5. Exhale slowly through your mouth and empty your lungs completely. Again, count slowly to 5 as you exhale and try to release any tension from your muscles.

6. Continue to inhale and exhale deeply for 5 to 10 minutes.

7. Perform this exercise once in the morning and again before going to bed.

Laying down at the beginning is best but you can also do this while sitting. Try to practice once or twice a day, always at the same time, in order to establish a habit.
